On Sunday, December 6th, 2015, at 3 PM the National Concert Band will present it’s second concert as part of its “A Season of Master Works” series.

We open this concert with James Curnow’s “Rejouisance,” a Fantasia on Ein Feste Burg. It’s encore is the march “Army of the Nile” by Kenneth Alford. “A Hymn for the Lost and Living” by Eric Ewazen is next on the program, followed by “The Symphonic Suite from ‘Star Trek’ in an arrangement by Jay Bocook. It’s encore is the ever-popular march “Chicago Tribune” by Chambers. The final selection on the program is “Star Wars Trilogy” as arranged by Donald Hunsberger. It features the following selections: The Imperial March (Darth Vader’s Theme); Princess Leia’s Theme; The Battle in the Forest; Yoda’s Theme leading into the main theme from Star Wars.
As in every National Concert Band performance we conclude with a salute to all veterans – past, present, and future with the Bob Lowden arrangement of “Armed Forces Salute” followed by our “signature song – “This Is My Country.”
